Sat., May 10: Docent led nature walk from the Ricardo Visitor Center. Learn about the various plants and their flowers along with the small animals and how they adapted to the harsh desert environment. Meet at the Ricardo Visitor Center at 10:00am.
Sat., May 10: Join us for a screening of the classic movie “Hell’s Heroes”, hosted by local cameraman and editor, Marc Jones. “Hell’s Heroes” is based on “The Three Godfathers,” the story of outlaws in the desert who become “godfathers” to a newborn. It is a gritty and realistic early western cinema classic. This program is co-sponsored by the Red Rock Canyon Interpretive Association. Meet at the Ricardo Visitor Center at 7:00pm.
Sat., May 17: Docent led nature walk titled A Walk Through Time. You will gain information about weather changes, extinct and present wildlife, Native American uses of plants, and the geological make up of Red Rock Canyon. Meet at the Desert View Trailhead near Campsite 50 at 9:00am.

Sat., May 24: China Lake Astronomical Society conducts a "Star Party" for viewing planets, constellations, and other celestial objects in the night sky through some amazing telescopes. Meet at the visitor center parking lot beginning at dusk.
